Overview of Neuroanesthesiology & Perioperative Neurosciences

The Neuroanesthesiology Division provides preoperative and perioperative anesthetic care for patients with neurological and neurosurgical diseases at UW Medicine. We work closely with a multidisciplinary team of neurosurgeons, neurologists, neuroradiologists, and critical care specialists to provide comprehensive and coordinated care throughout the patient’s journey. Faculty members are leaders in national and international neuroanesthesia societies, contributing to the advancement of the field.

Where We Practice

Harborview Medical Center: a King County hospital and the only Level-1 trauma center serving a five-state region.

University of Washington Medical Center – Montlake: voted the #1 hospital in Washington State.

I am honored to serve as Chief of the dedicated Neuroanesthesiologists at UW Medicine. Our team is made up of exceptional physicians who handle some of the most complex cases alongside our Critical Care colleagues. Our focus is on patients, teaching, and research. Our commitment is to provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care through teamwork, ultimately aiming to meet our patients’ unique needs and train future anesthesiology leaders.
