Health Disparities
Healthier communities lead to safer communities. Studying health disparities is a way to help minimize differences in health status and outcomes adversely affecting certain communities. Research on health disparities examines the influence of different factors including environment, education, economic opportunity, race, ethnicity, disability status, and other underlying factors that contribute to differences in access to health care and differences in health outcomes.
