UW Medical Center – Montlake Pain Relief Services
The Acute Pain Service at UW Medical Center – Montlake provides comprehensive pain management 24/7 for patients undergoing surgery and other acutely painful conditions using a coordinated interdisciplinary approach that emphasizes continuity of care and functional restoration. Multimodal analgesia and regional anesthesia techniques are emphasized to optimize pain control and facilitate rehabilitation. Patients are managed by a team of pain-focused anesthesiologists, advanced practice providers, pain pharmacists, residents, and fellows. In parallel, the Chronic/Cancer Pain Service at UW Medical Center – Montlake provides inpatient care for patients with complex chronic pain conditions, including cancer pain and sickle cell disease.
