Overview of VA Puget Sound Health Care System
The VA Puget Sound Health Care System is a two-division health care system providing comprehensive medical care to the veterans of Washington state; a substantial number of referrals for tertiary care also come from Alaska, Montana, and Idaho.
Our physicians are particularly experienced with patients presenting with advanced pulmonary, cardiovascular, and metabolic diseases. We also provide care for ICU patients, geriatric patients and others requiring invasive and non-invasive monitoring. We team with surgeons on cardiac procedures, orthopedic surgeries, and both open vascular and endovascular procedures. In addition, we care for pain patients with acute and chronic pain issues. Most VA Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine physicians have advanced clinical training beyond residency. Specialty clinical interests of our faculty include pain, cardiac anesthesiology, pharmacology, respiratory, critical care medicine, and critical event simulation.
As a veteran, I can think of no greater honor than continuing to serve fellow veterans as a healthcare provider. At VA Puget Sound we have the privilege of caring for veterans across the largest geographical area within the Veterans Healthcare Administration. I am so proud to be a part of one of the highest caliber healthcare delivery teams in the region.
