About Me

Dr. Long takes joy in providing care for patients in the operating room and the Trauma-Surgical ICU. He finds professional fulfillment in contributing to the mission of Harborview Medical Center and working with patients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team to provide compassionate care for diverse patient populations. His clinical interests include critical care medicine, trauma and burn care, and recovery from major surgery. His research focuses on the prevention of healthcare-associated infections and has been funded by national organizations include the National Institutes of Health and the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America.
