Global Scholars
The American Society of Anesthesiology (ASA) Global Scholars Program and the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia (SPA) Global Committee provides support for anesthesiologists from low and middle-lower income countries to observe at a US academic institution followed by participation in the ASA/SPA annual meeting(s). The UW Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine has hosted global scholars since 2018. This program provides our department with the opportunity to offer a robust academic exchange for all involved, foster professional development of anesthesiologists as leaders for their country, and improve care for patients worldwide.
Global POCUS
The Global POCUS Collaborative series connects institutions worldwide to review Point of Care Ultrasound cases and promote longitudinal learning. Presenters from around the globe share their expertise, and cases are available for viewing on our YouTube channel.
