Bio
Pamela Kean has been a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with the University of Washington Medicine since 2008. She completed her MSN in Nurse Anesthesia at Boston College in 2008. Before anesthesia school, Pamela was an ICU nurse at Harborview Medical Center, Tulane University and Mass General Hospital. Prior to 2014, Pamela acted as Interim Chief for the Montlake campus as needed. In 2018, Pamela accepted the newly created CRNA Supervisor position at the Northwest campus. Since that time, the Northwest group has grown from 4 to 18 CRNAs. Pamela was given the Daisy Award in 2016 and 2021. She received the UW Medicine Cares Award in 2021 and the Patient Safety Hero Award in June 2020. In May 2021, she was nominated for the David B. Thorud Leadership Award.
