About me

Practice Goal

Katherine Kinney’s goal with each day of work is to earn each patient’s trust before taking them into surgery. She loves that as anesthetists, we get to be the ultimate patient advocate during such a vulnerable time. It is a role that I am honored and privileged to have.

Katherine Kinney has been a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at the University of Washington Medical Center since 2022. She graduated from nursing school at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh in 2014. After, she worked as a nurse in the Liver Transplant ICU at UPMC Montefiore followed by travel nursing in Los Angeles, Seattle, and State College. She also worked in the Neonatal ICU at West Penn Hospital. She received her Master of Health Science in Nursing Anesthesia degree from Excela Health School of Anesthesia in 2020. Prior to moving back to Seattle, she worked as a CRNA at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She loves to cook, be a hostess, photography, hiking, running, trying new restaurants, and exploring the foodie scene.
